Travilla 1970


Confetti printed cotton pants and a maxi length sleeveless coat worn with a long-sleeved pleated chiffon tunic.


Re-embroidered lace on point d'espre. The rounded neckline, cloud-full sleeves, and gathered skirt bound by a satin sash.


Year-round silk crepe culotte with trench coat accessories, including dramatic lapels, wide belt, brass buttons, cuff straps, and a back flap.


White crepe bias cut midi-length culottes with a camisole bodice and sleeveless effect are covered by a transparent shirt tailored chiffon jacket striped in a stain bugle beaded motif.



Golden chiffon gown with self-fabric dimensional roses entwined with embroidered yellow stems and leaves border sleeves and midi skirt. The flattering surplice neckline and defined waist are proportional to the new skirt length.


Gold-struck emerald-green brocade gown. Mood of a Spanish Infanta married the opulent sweep of a wide gently gathered skirt with a deeply ruffled neckline, plunging daringly low.


Three coats (l) Camel flannel pants, midi-length belted coatdress. (M) Beige and teal blue shadow-striped wool herringbone coat over beige flannel pants. ® One-piece white wool pants outfit with a built-in pink mid-calf jumper. 




A richly-patterned trench coat of imported Greek brocade with a matching dinner dress topped by a softly shirred chiffon bodice, scarf-tied on a fitted skirt of the same multi-colored brocade.



A cotton gabardine maxi-coat with a jungle theme featuring colorful lions and tigers in pink, blue and yellow. The side-fastened design has hidden pockets and a matching muffler.


A Fall suit in plaid with a high wide waistline midi-skirt.


A longuette in ivory wool crepe with a midriff cross pattern formed by an absence of umbrella pleating. Topped by a hat of wool velour.

A double-breasted gabardine coat dress with a slightly raised belt.


Navy silk dress with flying panels. Faux bolero jacket.










A midi-length dinner gown of white with silver metallic thread adorned with a blue and bronze print. Slit skirt and full sleeves.


Red gabardine skirt cut to look like pants topped by a double-breasted cropped jacket. A scarf-tied bodice and wide nail-studded “charro” belt. 


A flame-red gaucho dinner suit of wool crepe features a short bolero jacket and floor-length wraparound skirt contrast with a white satin blouse. A red gaucho wool hat completes the picture.

A Woolmark dress of melon with vanilla plaid. Closely fitted, bias-cut bodice, with softly turned neckline, long sleeves and fitted waistline is quietly flared skirt, neatly belted in white with bias-cut patch pockets match to plaid and set just above the hemline.



A late-day dress in midnight chiffon with cutaway shoulders and three tiers of rippling godets set in at hip level to give movement to the skirt. A huge drapery stole with godet ruffling covers bare arms.


A giant collar of permanent pleating and tiered pleated sleeves crest a high-waisted dinner skirt of sheer black wool crepe. A wonderous cape of matching wool wraps warmly for the evening.


Christmas red silk organza ballgown topped with a mock bolero jacket of white cotton point-dot embroidery. A soft skirt falls from a natural waist with a unique gathered and puffed wrist treatment. 


A Mediterranean Gypsy look in red, black, and gray with a permanently pleated skirt with a double-pleated ruffle bordering the hemline.

Lilac wool crepe wrapped at the bodice and skirt from an inset waistband with a flower motif of delicate seed pearls.
